Reiki therapy offers a holistic approach to well-being by channeling universal energy to realign your inner self. Experience deep relaxation and enhanced energy flow.

As spring comes, everything revives, and the Yang energy in the human body also grows. Following the Taoist wisdom of “harmony between man and nature” and conforming to the laws of nature is the key to staying healthy and prolonging life. This article will reveal the essence of Yang energy conservation in spring, helping you to rejuvenate and embrace health.

Follow the natural rhythm Go to bed early and get up early: It is recommended to go to bed before 10 pm and get up at 5 am. Being too sleepy can easily hinder the rise of Yang Qi and affect its natural growth.

Dietary conditioning

Less acid and more sweet: In spring, you should reduce the intake of acidic foods, because they are astringent and not conducive to the growth of Yang. Eat more sweet foods such as red dates, honey, wolfberry, etc. to nourish the spleen and stomach.
Spicy and sweet foods help Yang: For those with weak constitution or fear of cold, eating spicy foods in moderation can help the growth of Yang.
Foods that promote growth: It is recommended to eat more foods with upward growth energy, such as bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, leeks, etc.

Mental and emotional care

Positive: Having good aspirations and careful planning of year-round goals can stimulate the Yang in the body.
Emotional management: Avoid excessive anger, depression, and negative thinking, which can damage the Yang. Do more good deeds and cultivate a happy mood to help the Yang flow.

Moderate exercise and practice
Avoid strenuous exercise: Avoid strenuous exercise and heavy sweating, as this will deplete Yang Qi and may allow cold Qi to invade. The ideal exercise state should be a warm, relaxed, comfortable body with little or no sweat.

Tai Chi Daoyin:

It is recommended to practice the whole body for 56 minutes to awaken the internal organs, dredge the meridians, and promote the growth of Yang Qi. It is recommended to practice outdoors after sunrise, and the daily duration should be controlled to 1-2 hours.

Key points of organ maintenance

Liver care in spring: Spring is the best time to care for the liver. It is important to clear negative emotions and dredge the liver meridian. Depression suppresses Yang and hinders the flow of Qi and blood. The liver meridian is essential for the flow of Yang and provides energy to the heart meridian.
Gallbladder and Governor Meridian: Tapping the gallbladder meridian for 5 minutes daily helps to disperse Yang and detoxify. Unblocking the Governor Meridian (the main channel for Yang) can prevent headaches, dizziness and stroke. Back rolling is recommended to exercise the Governor Meridian.

Acupressure massage

Massaging specific acupoints can enhance yang energy, improve immunity, and promote liver and spleen health. The following acupoints are worth paying attention to:

Dazhui
Zusanli
Zhongwan
Taichong
Sanyinjiao
Shenmen
Guanyuan
Yanglingquan
Sizhukong
Yingxiang

Health tips for the whole year

Taking care of the liver in spring is beneficial to taking care of the heart in summer. At the same time, the spleen and stomach should be taken care of throughout the four seasons. By following the natural energy cycle and continuously taking care of the five internal organs (taking care of the liver in spring, the heart in summer, the lungs in autumn, and the kidneys in winter, taking care of the spleen and stomach in all four seasons), a virtuous cycle can be formed, the occurrence of diseases can be reduced, and a healthy and long life can be achieved.
